How It Works
Three Steps, No Weekend Required
- I
Build Your Lease
Answer plain-language questions about the property, rent, and term. LeaseEasy assembles an Alberta-compliant lease as you go — no legal wording to decode.
- II
Send It for Signature
Tenants get a secure link and can review and sign from their phone in a couple of minutes. Every signature is time-stamped and stored automatically.
- III
Manage It Going Forward
Rent due dates, renewal reminders, and every signed document live in one dashboard — not scattered across email threads and a filing cabinet.
Everything You Need
One Tool, From First Draft to Signed Lease
Alberta-Compliant Lease Builder
Standard terms required under Alberta’s Residential Tenancies Act are built in from the start, so you’re never guessing what’s missing — or paying a lawyer to check.
Real E-Signatures
Tenants sign from any device. Every signature carries a timestamp and an audit trail.
Properties & Tenants
Keep every unit, tenant, and lease organized in one place.
Document Storage
Every signed lease and notice is stored and searchable, permanently.
Renewal Reminders
A heads-up before a term ends or rent is due, not after.
Built for Alberta
The Residential
Tenancies Act
LeaseEasy isn’t a generic template with the province name swapped in. Every lease follows the rules that actually apply here.
- Standard terms required by Alberta's Residential Tenancies Act, included automatically
- Security deposit rules calculated to Alberta's limits — never more than one month's rent
- Alberta-specific notice periods built into renewals and terminations
LeaseEasy provides lease document tools and general information, not legal advice. For complex situations or disputes, consult a lawyer or Alberta’s Residential Tenancy Dispute Resolution Service (RTDRS).

Questions
Good to Know Before You Start
Is a LeaseEasy lease legally binding in Alberta?
Yes. LeaseEasy leases are built around the terms required by Alberta's Residential Tenancies Act, and e-signatures are legally recognized under Alberta's Electronic Transactions Act.
Do I need a lawyer to use LeaseEasy?
For a standard residential tenancy, no. For unusual situations — commercial leases, complex disputes, or anything outside a typical rental — we recommend speaking with a lawyer or contacting Alberta's Residential Tenancy Dispute Resolution Service (RTDRS).
What's the difference between the free and paid plans?
Free lets you build and preview a complete lease, with a LeaseEasy watermark on the PDF. Paid plans remove the watermark and unlock e-signatures, document storage, and tenant and property management.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes. Monthly and annual plans can be cancelled anytime from your account settings, and you'll keep access until the end of your current billing period.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Lease data and signatures are encrypted in transit and at rest, and stored on Canadian-compliant infrastructure.
Can tenants sign without creating an account?
Yes. Tenants get a secure link by email and can review and sign from any phone, tablet, or computer — no account required on their end.
