The fine print, in plain language

LeaseEasy Alberta provides guided tools to create Alberta residential tenancy leases, collect electronic signatures, and manage properties, tenants, and lease documents. LeaseEasy is a document tool — it is not a law firm, and nothing in the service is legal advice. For questions about your rights or obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act, consult a lawyer.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@leaseeasyalberta.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

We offer the following plans (all prices in Canadian dollars, plus GST):

• Free — $0. Create leases with a watermarked PDF. No payment required.
• Single Lease — $39 one-time. One clean PDF without watermark; e-signatures not included.
• Pro Monthly — $39/month. Unlimited leases, e-signatures, storage, and management tools.
• Pro Annual — $349/year. Same as Pro Monthly, billed once per year.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your Billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Pro access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.

We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email; price changes apply from your next renewal after the notice period.

Signature requests are sent by email as secure links; signers do not need an account. Each completed signature is recorded with an audit trail (identity, timestamps, and document hash) in line with Alberta’s Electronic Transactions Act. You are responsible for sending signature requests to the correct people and confirming their identity as appropriate for your tenancy.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for anything unlawful or fraudulent.
• Upload content you have no right to use, or tenant information you have no right to provide.
• Attempt to breach the service’s security or interfere with other users.
• Resell or redistribute the service without our permission.

You own the leases, documents, and data you create. You grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely to operate the service (for example, generating PDFs and sending signature emails). We do not claim ownership of your content.

The service is provided “as is”. While our lease templates are designed around Alberta’s Residential Tenancies Act, tenancy law changes and every situation is different — we do not guarantee that any lease produced by the service suits your circumstances or will be enforceable as you expect. Use of the service does not create a solicitor–client relationship.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including disputes between landlords and tenants.

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your right to use the service ends; you may export your documents before closing your account.

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable in Alberta. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Alberta.

In accordance with Alberta’s Fair Trading Act internet sales rules: the supplier is LeaseEasy Alberta, Alberta, Canada, reachable at support@leaseeasyalberta.com. All prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude GST, which is added at checkout. A receipt is emailed after every purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled as described in section 3; you may cancel future renewals at any time from your Billing settings before the next billing date.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced by email or a notice in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
